The
College
of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences has been recently
enlisted in the Global Education Advisory Committee for
the Missionaries of Hope, Inc. (MOH) in Glenwood,
Florida, USA.
Through the College’s dean, Dr. Helen Correa, WNU has
participated in the Global Education Advisory Committee
which is an organizational effort aimed to mobilize the
different programs of MOH globally and to ensure its
existence to be felt within the communities which
include medical institutions, universities and
organizations, among others. The committee also intends
to serve, reach out and expand its presence to its
target clientele.
The
MOH Advisory Committee will occupy a central place in
the organizational structure that will play the roles of
the observatory, program implementer, marketing and
think-tank for international exchange and educational
training opportunities program. Most especially, this
will serve as the guidance body for its community-based
primary health care systems initiatives.
Furthermore, the committee is tasked to monitor and
reflect upon the evolution and developments in the
education sector as well as the existing international
cooperation and exchange between countries; ensure an
appropriate flow of information between stakeholders;
students, health professionals and organizations
involved in the international exchange programs of the
MOH.
It
will be composed of educators, missionaries, health care
practitioners and leaders from multi-disciplinary
backgrounds who has experience in education cooperation,
showing commitment, love of service, has the vision of
hope and compassion to the underprivileged through the
various programs.
