1. COLLEGE OF NURSING
Students will have the
option to enroll in the ladderized Health Aide to
Midwifery courses or enroll in the 2-year allied Health
Sciences Education. Then the graduate can proceed
to any health related courses such as: Nursing, Medicine,
Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy,
Nutrition, Medical technology, etc. However, West
Negros College offers only the Basic Nursing Course
with the following additional requirements:

|
a. Height:
not less than 4'10" tall
b. Medical Certificate indicating therein that
the applicant is of good health.
c. General average of 2.5 or its equivalent
d. Notarized certification from the High School
Principal that the student belongs to the upper 40%
of the graduating class in the high school
e. Nursing Aptitude Test of 40% or higher.
N.B. Others not covered by above requirements
will be dealt on a case to case basis.

2.
COLLEGE OF MARITIME STUDIES |
|
|
a. Male
or female, physically and mentally fit and passed
the eyesight test.
b. Must have no criminal record
c. At least 156.8 cm (5 ft 02 in)
tall
d. At least with a general weighted
average of 80% or its equivalent
in H.S.
e. Must submit the following requirements
to the Dean's Office: |

|
1.
Two (2) copies each of colored 2 x 2 and 1 x
1 recent pictures (front
view)
2. Police Clearance
|

COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES
Aside
from the general college admission policies, the following
are additional requirements for admission/re-admission
to the College of Arts and Sciences: |
|
|
a. For All Courses Offered in the Department.
The student seeking admission/re-admission to
the department will be required of the following when
deemed necessary: |
|
|
1.
Police/NBI Clearance
2. Barangay Clearance
3. Certificate of good moral character from
at least two respectable members of the community
where the students resides. |
b.
Drug test results and other laboratory test
results
c. Qualifying examinations in line with the
student's major field of concentration
c. For transferees: |
|
|
1.
must have passed at least 75% of the total subjects
he enrolled in the previous school;
2. must have passed at least 50% of the subjects he
enrolled during the last term in the previous school.
|
|
4.
COLLEGE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATION |
|
|
1.
Height requirement for male students is 5' 4"
and 5' 2" for female student.
A student who falls short of the required height but
insists enrolment is required to sign a note below
his application for admission that the PNP height
requirement has been discussed with him/her by the
Dean or her authorized representative.
2. High school general average of at least 80%
is required of a Criminology student.
A student seeking re-admission to the department must
not have any record of violation of any disciplinary
policies of the school.
3. Must be physically and mentally fit with
no apparent physical deformity nor have undergone
major surgery.

5.
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING |
|
|
a. New
students must have a general weighted average
of not less than 80% or its equivalent.
b. Transferee must have passed 75% of the
total subjects he/she had enrolled to exclude
Theology/Religion, Guidance or its equivalent
and ROTC subjects.
c. He must have passed at least 50% of the
subjects he enrolled in, during the last term
in the previous school.
d. An average of at least 80% in Math, Science
and English. |

6. COLLEGE OF COMPUTER STUDIES |
|
For a
student applicant seeking admission to any program of
study under the Center for Computer Science, the
following requirements are: |
|
|
a.
He/she must be physically and mentally fit;
b. He/she must obtain a passing mark set
by the Department based on the following criteria.
|
|
7. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT |
|
|
a. Bachelor
of Science in Accountancy
1. New Students - High School
general average of 85%.
2. Transferees -
With 80% average grade in Math, Accounting
and Natural Science subject
-
Must pass the qualifying examination.

8.
COLLEGE OF EDUCATION |
|
|
1.
The Dean decides whom to admit to the College of Education.
2. Students who wish to be in the College of
Education have to undergo
and pass the
following:
a.
Interview conducted by the Dean -

b. Placement
examination - 20%
c. H.S.
weight average - 30%
d. Qualifying
Exam - 20%
